Recently, Attorney Tracy W. Cary of Alabama Personal Injury Lawyers, LLC won a $3.2 million verdict after a road rage shooting trial.
More specifically, following a bench trial in Chipley, Florida, a judge entered this judgment against the defendant, Shawn Thomas Gainey. Cary represented the plaintiff, Dan Riedel, who was the victim in the January 28, 2019 shooting and who has remained in a vegetative state since.
In the trial, Cary indicated to the Court that we all have the right to expect armed motorists to de-escalate aggressive driving, prevent serious injury or death, and protect us all. Cary went on to state, “The simple truth is, aggressive driving is dangerous driving, and armed motorists who escalate, instead of de-escalating aggressive driving, put us all in danger.”
And along with this verdict, Cary has obtained seven-figure jury awards or trial verdicts for his clients in Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and Illinois.
